Experimental Sculpture Collection
The three sculptures visually communicate whimsical energy. While exploring materials to build the sculptures, I wanted to focus on elevating my work because I had limited resources. I decided to include color to bring a sense of vibrancy and life to the pieces, which resonates with my artistic practice, as many of my works are characterized by bold, colorful elements. I felt the work was lacking emphasis, so I added small details and created new ideas by moving the pieces, I realized that in order to capture a viewer's attention I needed to make the sculptures stand out more. To address this, I focused on refining the visual impact and experimenting.
I want to keep exploring sculpture and experimenting with different mediums. I want to learn more about the workshop and the machines used to cut wood, so I can create more detailed and personalized designs. This piece allowed me to explore a new form of art that I truly enjoyed, and the making of this work exposed me to new ideas, such as using 3-D elements in my future pieces, as well as experimenting with various materials to continue pushing my craft.
